OTIE Contact
OTIE has delivered detailed remediation system designs, including pre-design investigations, treatability testing, value engineering, plan and specification packages, engineering cost estimates, and regulatory negotiations to support customer solution strategies. OTIE has prepared and reviewed conceptual and final remedial designs incorporating both traditional and innovative remedial technologies.

For Pemaco Superfund site, Maywood, CA, OTIE performed treatability testing of innovative electrical resistance heating (ERH) and in situ enhanced bioremediation (EISB) and developed detailed 37-sheet RD with specifications, engineering cost estimate, CPM schedule, and O&M Manual. Conducted VE to identify $200,000 insavings. Design included ERH with vapor extraction, high-vacuum dual-phase groundwater extraction with GAC/UV oxidation water treatment, and flameless thermal oxidation vapor treatment. |

For Raytheon, OTIE performed pilot treatability of enhanced in situ bioremediation (EISB), designed an EISB, and implemented a site-wide full-scale system using substrate injection at over 60 locations. Design was optimized to include use of existing monitoring points and strategically-placed new points to minimize costs. |

For Camp San Luis Obispo, CA, OTIE designed two 1,000 CY biopile treatment pads and a permanent 2,000 CY landfarm facility to treat POL-contaminated soil. Design included automated ventilation and irrigation systems to optimize bioremediation conditions and reduce O&M costs. |

For MCLB Barstow, CA, OTIE performed remedial design for an air sparge/soil vapor extraction (AS/SVE) system for groundwater VOC (PCE and TCE) plume. The AS system has 20 sparge wells to strip VOCs and 6 vacuum wells to extract vapors. |
