Safety

A Culture of Safety at T N & Associates, Inc.

A fundamental principle of TN&A is that no job is so important and no service is so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment. In all operating decisions, safety shall be the first and major consideration. No operation shall be carried out at any site until safety is assured. We are committed to:

  • Zero Incident Performance
  • Environmental Health and Safety Excellence
  • Fostering a Total Safety Culture

Our ESH&QA program provides the integrated and visible framework that links work processes and safety performance at all levels of management and project execution. At the site-level, the Contract, Project Management Plans, and policies, procedures, and programs will identify and direct work. At the project level, the Health and Safety Plans will defi ne the necessary safety design and operational controls. At the activity level, work will be accomplished using a fully integrated work control program that includes Radiological and Chemical Work Plans, JHAs/AHAs, observations/interventions, and issues identification and corrective action processes.

TN&A is committed to field safety and has at least one safety professional involved when work is being executed. In addition, we bring a DOE-approved Corporate QMP, USACE approved Construction CQC trained staff, and approved QAPP, SAP and fully approved Work Plans in place prior to commencing field work.

Integrated Safety Management

TN&A has experience with the DOE Integrated Safety Management (ISM) System at three DOE sites and brings better-than-industry standard safety performance. We incorporate safety into the daily project activities beginning with the morning daily toolbox meeting for each work crew; we hold weekly and monthly "all-hands safety meetings”" (including attendance by onsite subcontractors). Our monthly safety meetings will include rewards and recognition for outstanding individual and project safety performance (see "TN&A Safety Sentinel"). Our ISM program stems from 100% commitment from our Project Managers down to every worker in the field. We are committed to a 24/7 "Safety First" culture, and we infuse this culture into field activities through constant communication and management involvement and presence at the work site.
